Sometimes a gray day unfolds to reveal sparkle and brilliance that lies just beneath the surface.  Such was a day recently when I stepped through the door at Wendy Addison's Theatre of Dreams.  I have traveled there many times before, but this time was especially unique.  I was there to pick up her much anticipated book.  The "hippie ghost town", as Rodger and I affectionately call Port Costa, was lively today.  However, the peaceful atmosphere that I find so alluring is always present.  Wendy's Theatre of Dreams is a place where my soul can rest and my spirit can be rejuvenated.

As Wendy turned the pages of her book, she revealed a very personal look into her own artistic journey of imagination, discovery and delight.

If you haven't seen this incredible book of sketches, I encourage you to seek it out as soon as possible.  The book is a limited edition and each book is numbered.  Don't miss out on this enchanting treasure.  For more information, contact Wendy Addison through her blog at

Thank you Wendy, the book was definitely worth the wait!

Just one of the pages that await you in Wendy's book….

The book is filled with her sketches.

As we left Wendy's studio, we glanced into her printing press room….there on the floor was a ballerina fairy waving adieu….the magic continues….

American Harvest celebrated Springtime with an open house featuring Nicol Sayre dolls.  Thank you to everyone who came to our open house yesterday.  Our customers have become friends and it is always a pleasure to visit with them.

Here is a lovely Blue Bird by Nicol Sayre.

April made necklaces using vintage elements.

This sweet gathering of artists' pieces captures the essence of Spring.  Melissa made the wonderful bunny on the top shelf.

Antique metal trays were hung on the vintage trellis.

This delightful mohair bunny was made by our friend Debi.

Shannan uses only vintage finds when creating her jewelry.

No Springtime celebration would be complete without paper mache bunnies and forget-me-nots.

Did you know that American Harvest carries a great line of baby clothes and accessories?

A pastel green feather tree is a great way to display your vintage and new Easter chicks.

Colleen's cute little doll is tucked inside this wonderful antique purse.

Nicol has created these four beautiful postcards of her dolls.  They are available now at American Harvest.  You get four assorted postcards for $12.00.  Please call the store for details 925-485-1577.

Again, thank you to all that attended our Spring Open House.  Special thank you to all of the fabulous artists that have become members of the American Harvest Family of Artists.  With gratitude and friendship,

We are excited to announce our annual Spring Open House will take place next Saturday, March 14th from 10am-5pm.  Nicol Sayre will be the featured artist again this year.  Her dolls will be available from 10am-1pm.
